cache adoption

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I m not sure if this is the right place for this. I've never ventured into the forums before. I have a few caches around the north Dublin area, but I am leaving the county at the end of the month. I won't be able to give them the maintenance they need so i was wondering do I disable the caches or do I find someone to adopt them? If so, how do I do that?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

You may be better off asking in a local forum, or facebook. Most cachers seem to favour them over these forums.

You could try asking the local cachers. First To Find (or those early finders after publication)are often a good option.

Maybe worth posting on the cache page -use a Note log, and in the description- that you are looking for an Adopter... If any are on peoples Watchlist, they will get an email for the Note.

If you get no takers before you go, Archive the caches and REMOVE them, so you don't leave geo-litter.

Edit.

If/when someone is interested use http://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ to set things in motion.
