Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 http://www.cachingcouples.com Our First Couple Meet Up : Grain Tower Battery (GC1DKZ6) My girlfriend and I were recently at Grain Tower Battery (GC1DKZ6) AKA 'No1, The Thames'. An extreme cache and an UrbEx's heaven. There we met another couple: he an explorer, she a photographer/writer researching an article on the Tower. We were half way up the tower when we saw them walking across the causeway. We greeted them and exchanged pleasantries. Once they were safely up the ladder we shook hands and got chatting. They said that they probably would not have climbed up had they not met us! We all enjoyed exploring the historic building and said we would keep in touch and look for more places to explore. That got me thinking, so I set up cachingcouples.com a 'dating' style website but for cachers (singles, couples, families or groups) to meet up online then arrange to meet up to go caching together. Share the fuel as well as the fun etc. And to enjoy the experience with other like minded folk. To make new friends. And if the singles find more than friendship all the better for them!! It is not a commercial site, it run for fun, and for the community. I would like more people to know about it. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Any thoughts gladly received.
