North West Question

Hi all, pretty new to Geocaching and never used this forum until now so apologies if this question has already been asked. We live near the Lake District in Cumbria and are looking to go away somewhere tomorrow with our 4 year old twins (and geohound!) who absolutely love geocaching - Or "Looking for treasure" as they call it. Could anyone recommend anywhere in the North West of England to go for a day of family friendly caches. Thanks in advance. Team G :)

I can't help as it's not my area, but these forums are very quiet these days and the chances of getting a response before tomorrow is very slim. If you do Facebook you would be better off looking for a facebook group, there are a lot of UK specific ones, including "Geocaching UK", but I believe there's one specifically for the North West too called NW Caching at https://www.facebook.com/groups/20943488797/?fref=nf

Hi, im not 100% sure where your based in the north west but one that comes to mind in the lakes is GC43QX9 ,which is at Kendal castle. I'm also new and didn't find it too difficult to solve, in fact we had fun collecting and solving the clues around the castle to lead us to the cache. Has some good views and your little ones could explore the castle along the way.
