Found at Costco

Did you get 1 50-cal and 1 30-cal for $20, or was it 2 50-cal's or 2 30-cal's? I guess they could package it with the 30 inside the 50, but just thought I'd ask. Not sure I want to battle the Costco crowd on the weekend, but am considering it. <_<

The boxes are nested so you get one of each size.

Okay...I'm definitely going this week! Hope they have them at mine.

I've bought plastic ammo cans from Harbor Freight. They're light and waterproof, and so far very durable. At $6.95 each, (a dollar less on sale), they are a good alternative.

I know Walmart has the plastic kind (Plano, i think) for $5. I'd still like to get some good old steel ones, though.

If they're nested then I am guessing they're not real milspec boxes. The .30's and .50's I bought at government auction don't nest.

Can someone post a picture? Curious as to what these look like.

Here is a you tube

Interesting. Could be the color balance or lighting, but they're not as dark as the military cans I've seen, both in nine years of geocaching and 22+ years of military experience. And they are in too god shape to be refurbished surplus. I'm betting the manufacturers finally figured out there was a market for these outside of military contracts and started taking advantage.
