What are some of the funniest or random geocache descriptions you have come across? What were your favorites? Mine so far is: http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC54XZJ_the-pointless-geocache

Reminds me of one I found: http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC597P1_nothing-to-offer

I decided to play along in my log: http://coord.info/GC597P1

It has a "sister" cache as well: http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC597QJ_everything-to-offer

And again, I played along...: http://coord.info/GLEXRR0Z

"Beach It" or "Park It"

This challenge is a choice between two tasks: Beach It, and Park It.

Teams must find a hidden container, called a "geocache", near the small town of Devon in western Canada. Although the container is hidden close to an inhabited area, access is made difficult by a large river separating the two.

In Beach It, teams will proceed to the Devon boat launch area, just downstream of the Hwy 60 bridge. There, they will climb into boats of their choosing (after having arranged for those boats to be there), and will then paddle downstream and beach their boats on the opposite shore, at a place called "Beach It". Once there, they will run along game trails through open forest to reach their goal.

Once they have completed a geocaching ritual, teams will then return to their boats, and choose between struggling upstream to their starting point, or drifting downstream with the current to a city called "Edmonton".

In Park It, teams will drive their cars to a grassy roadside shoulder at a place called "Park It", which is near the northern brim of the river valley. From there, they will proceed on foot through a public green belt, following a maze of horse trails downhill for about 1km until they reach a river channel, which is normally dry*. They will then step across this channel onto a small forested island, which is where they will find the geocache.

Teams may find this task easier to prepare for. However, getting across the channel when the river is in flood, or navigating the steep and sometimes slippery trails, may be difficult**.
