+DragonsWest
I've found some funny April Fools caches in the past, a couple by Dark Zen and Evil Cow Pie, and just thought I'd throw it out there - Here's a chance to have some fun with the game without a bunch of money changing hands or stressing over a complicated event or trying to wheedle yet another souvenir out of GS. So far I've got an event posted, just a meet and greet over coffee really, but a chance to dress up a page with some fun. Here's hoping others play the fool a bit. Love to see what people can come up with for April Fools Day caches/events. Quote Link to comment

+Mineral2
I've wanted to set up an april fools event multi cache. At the posted coordinates, post a note stating the event has been moved to new coordinates. at that location... same thing. This can go on with the final coordinates back at the original location. Neat idea, but you might wish to run it by your reviewer first. Quote Link to comment

Stage 1 at the front door, sending them on a multi-stage adventure, with the penultimate stage telling them to go to the final stage, which is in the back room (which has been reserved for the event). +Optimist on the run
I've just had a cache accepted that should go live on 1st April, a supposed 5/5 with attributes such as scuba gear and snowmobile required. I was expecting the reviewer to reject it, but it seems to have been accepted without question. Quote Link to comment

Dogs don't have much of a sense of humor. Quote Link to comment
+OwenfromKC
I once did a genius multicache. The container was a case for eye contacts, one side white, the other blue. The white lid had 'clue' written on the outside. You opened it and it said stage two was very near under the blue lid. It was a good laugh. Quote Link to comment

I was expecting the reviewer to reject it, but it seems to have been accepted without question. Not so long ago I submitted an event and jokingly added the "teamwork required" attribute. I thought it was pretty harmless. The reviewer did not. I was abruptly told that my event would not be published until that attribute was removed because people use attributes for challenges. Gotta love inconsistency. On an unrelated note, I also posted an April Fools event. It got published and was looking to be well accepted until 1 local cacher with no sense of humour at all complained to the reviewer that the joke (which I didn't even come up with and had been used locally in the past by a radio station) was promoting illegal activity (which it most definitely wasn't). The event was then archived by the reviewer. Fun times. Quote Link to comment

Love to see what people can come up with for April Fools Day caches/events. What happened to the other April Fools day event. Was this a joke that no one post a Will Attend so the EO thought no one was coming then archived the event? If so that was mean. If not and the event is still on, let me know because we were going to go til we saw the Archive on it. Quote Link to comment

My cache has just gone live (see GC72J06- Don't believe a word of it). On a serious note, I haven't decided yet whether to restore the D/T and attributes to a normal level after today, or leave it as it is. (I don't intend to change the description, as I had a lot of fun writing it). What do others think? Quote Link to comment

Technically if it's about April Fools then the whole description ratings etc should revert to normal at 12pm otherwise the joke's on you. Quote Link to comment
