+Davequal
OK I have acquired a second GPSr really cheap, as a bonus it came with Garmin 100K TOPO maps DVD. I have gotten them loaded on my eTrex 20 VIA a 2 gig micro SD card. (A LOT easier than I thought it would be.) Is there a way for me to over lay some trail maps on to my unit ? +TeamPanda173
Hello,Google gps file depot and check out the free maps on there. It's what Ive tried and it worked great with my garmin. They have a bunch of tutorials on there too. There have been a bunch of threads on the forums here about that link. Try it out. Good luck Quote Link to comment
Wintertime
Also, Dave, you might check with your local geocaching group, if there is one. Here in the Bay Area, some folks have digitized a lot of local trail maps and made them available for downloading. Quote Link to comment
seldom_sn
Check out Northwest Trails and My Trails at GPSfileDepot. These are transparent overlays that will show as trails only maps in BaseCamp, but will overlay your topo on your GPSr. Quote Link to comment

seldom_sn
If you are interested in making your own maps, check out this. Or this for vector maps. Lots more work, but more flexible. Quote Link to comment
