+drneal
DrNeal's For the Love of Caching Geocoin - Ingot (TB1Q1WN) has a new log: Logged by: Gubemax Log Type: Discovered It Date: 8/24/2014 Type: For the Love of Caching Geocoin Log: Dear GeoCacher, sorting and putting order to my documents I stated that I discovered this trackable item some time ago. I just can not tell when and where any more. Thank you for sharing! Absolute rubbish!!! I never even had the slightest glance on your trackable item, but am just greeding for a long list of icons in my personal profile. Please stay alerted!!! So when finding such or similar message in your trackable item log you are absolutely free to remove this nonsense. It is more than easy to enter any given 6-digit code and having a hit sooner or later. Considering that the first two digits are always the same to one kind of GeoCoin, chance is even bigger to have a fake discovery using this method. Kind regards, Gubemax. +Droo
Funny.... my activated coins in the drawer are getting more hits than the ones I released. It's no fun having to delete logs. Edited August 24, 2014 by Droo Quote Link to comment
+Manville Possum
Funny.... my activated coins in the drawer are getting more hits than the ones I released. It's no fun having to delete logs. Same here, I'm quite sure the tracking numbers are being passed around. Theft and this kind of garbage, well I just don't purchace trackables anymore. Quote Link to comment
+s.f.g.
The man's on a mission to discourage virtual logs by doing virtual logs. Amazing! Quote Link to comment

It's no fun having to delete logs. i deleted several pages of virtual logs - a couple of folks were quite upset and wrote me angry letters. i asked if they had actually seen the coins and if so i would be happy to let them log them again. it's funny, i never did hear back from anyone. +kini_ont
I'd also let Groundspeak know of this cacher's log so that they can lock any more of these. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
That guy has a point - it is easy enough to figure out tracking numbers by randomly guessing. The obvious solution is to require all new trackables to have 128 bit UUIDs printed on them instead of just 6 characters with the first 2 fixed, which means new trackables will be around 6 inches in diameter Quote Link to comment
