hi Im a newby and have just purchased my trackable .Im a bit confused as to how I now place it somewhere to send it on its way, do i use the number on the back or the other one thanks I am using my smart phone to track the caches but not very techy ...must be the age ...thanks in advance

What is the other one you are referring to?

 

 

To place a trackable you must first activate it. To do so you go HERE

The tracking number is the number on the trackable. The activation code either came with it, or it has instruction how to get it.

 

The number that is on it is required to activate or retrieve a trackable. To drop it on a cache or visit a cache you can do that while logging the cache.

 

The only other number I can think of is called the reference number. For people who actually haven't been in possession of it. For example you could give us that number so we can view it's page, but it's a public number so you wouldn't have to worry about me logging it as grabbed from you, or placed in another cache.
