When we get close to a cache, a message pops up on the phone and says "Check the website for instructions on what to do next?" What does this mean? We dont see any new instructions and so dont know how to finish :-( Thanks for the help. Edited April 24, 2016 by BananaSmilesTV Quote Link to comment

+Team BananaSmilesTV
It is the official geocache app....on a basic android. (dont know the make....just a cheap one) Caches are traditional ones. The message comes up no matter what cache we go for though. Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
When we get close to a cache, a message pops up on the phone and says "Check the website for instructions on what to do next?" What does this mean? We dont see any new instructions and so dont know how to finish :-( I tried it while checking on my cache today. The App is telling you that the phone has gotten you to the spot. You may try to get a little closer, but now you mainly must use the cache description ("It's an ammo can under a boulder" or whatever). The notice pops up whether you're in Compass or Map. If you have the full-page map, tap the screen to return to the Geocache Details. Once you've read the Geocache Description, you can use the compass and map (especially the satellite map) to further narrow down the spot. But the notice is mainly saying "don't do the drunken bee dance trying to get to 'zero', look at the Geocache Description instead, and look around". Which is good advice. The "Geocache Decription" doesn't always have any particularly useful info about what to do. But the next thing to do is to find the container, sign the log inside, then tap "Log Geocache" and make an online log about the adventure. Good luck!
