PN60 recalculate error

Recommended Posts

Not much to go on. Without knowing exactly where you're expecting a distance and not seeing one, my first guess is that you don't have a cache selected. Until you tell the PN-60 where to go, there's no cache for it to show a distance to. This can be confusing because the Info fields on each page change depending on whether you have a destination dialed up, so you won't see a field that says "distance: no destination selected" or anything like that.

If you have a destination set, my second guess is that you accidentally changed activities. Go to the activities menu and make sure you're still geocaching. Each activity has a different set of info fields, so you may have switch to one that doesn't show distance on the page where you're expecting it.

If the activity is already geocaching, go to the page where you aren't seeing the distance and go to the "Info fields..." menu option to change what information is displayed on the page. My third guess is that you accidentally changed what was being displayed, although that's hard to do accidentally.

@camper248

There is a reset option in PN-60 user System menu, but it may delete more data from internal memory than you desire. All activity profile settings may be set back to default as well.

You may want to try again to delete all route files from internal memory, as entering support mode is not as risky as it seems at first glance. Users on the Delorme forum will walk you through it, if you want greater detail, but some will probably suggest a "low level format". The low level format is not required for the issue you reported in my experience, but deletion of all existing routes usually is required to get all geocaching functions routing bells and whistles working properly again.

Disclaimer: If you look at my profile on this site, you will see that I have no official cache finds. :rolleyes:
