+Burton Kidz
I have just sent my Dakota 20 for repair under warranty and it is the third time the screen "whites out" when powered on. Has anyone else had this problem? I did not have my first unit repaired (this is my 2nd unit) as a new one did not cost much more than a repair. It seems that the Dakota 20 is no longer a "current" model. I am starting to lose faith in Garmin products. I don't think I mistreat them but they don't strike me as having a very long life! RuideAlmeida
Maybe you can try this. Quote Link to comment
+Burton Kidz
Thanks for the last reply, from Brazil, I'll give it a try with the first unit I bought. The actual fault is that the unit shows the Garmin logo then the next screen after that (Dakota copyright) then the whole screen goes light grey, with the word Garmin in the middle in white. Then the unit seems "dead". Thanks for your tips so far! Quote Link to comment
+Burton Kidz
Got as far as step 6, but unfortunately the unit would not reboot - the same as before 'white screen'. Quote Link to comment
