wasurf
I have ordered Garmin's ANT+ adapter for the iPhone and will be testing out GeoBeacon soon. I will post the results here. I have been searching the web, asked Jeremy on Facebook, and tweeted @Garmin but no one has an answer for me yet. I'm hoping it will work just as well as Wahoo Fitness ANT+ adapter since it is around $80 and Garmin's adapter is $40. Quote Link to comment
wasurf
I tested the iPhone GeoBeacon software with Garmin's ANT+ dongle. It does not work with GeoBeacon. Quote Link to comment
user13371
Not surprised. Garmin doesn't advertise Chirp compatibility for the adapter. Edited March 13, 2012 by Portland Cyclist Quote Link to comment
jgc3
I also ordered one and tried testing it with the iPhone & GeoBeacon. Unfortunately, Garmin's ant+ does not operate with it currently. Would certainly increase the use of chirp's to get a cheap option out there. Quote Link to comment
user13371
Would increase use of chirps to get a cheap option out there? Not in any amounts that would be profitable to Garmin. Quote Link to comment
L@wrence
I got one today and it works with geobeacon and my Ipad. requires a wahoo key. all in all 62 bucks instead of 300 to be able to see and program chirps. Edited April 7, 2015 by L@wrence Quote Link to comment
