ken_ohio
I have two questions: I bought my Garmin last summer to use for geocaching. But, I also want to do things like mark locations in the woods while hiking. For example: I recently found a woodpecker nest. I marked it so I could find it more easily the next time I am in that area. I have read the PDF file manual. But, it seems to be focused more on using the unit for geocaching, not for marking single spots. I have been doing marking spots/locations by Marking Waypoints. 1. Is there a different/better way to do this with the Garmin eTrex 20 ? 2. Is there a way to delete a Waypoint using the unit while out in the woods with the Garmin eTrex 20 ? I can see that I can delete All Waypoints. But, I can't find an option to delete just one unless I hook my unit up to a computer. Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast
1. You're doing it right. 2. go to Waypoint Manager, scroll down to the waypoint you want to delete, push the joystick button, then when the waypoint details appear hit the menu button (bottom left) select delete from the menu. That's exactly what I needed. Thanks, Marty. Ken Quote Link to comment
