+FDNAVY
I'm looking for some help. Whenever I am hiking at the end of my hike my mileage according to the GPS is about 10% or more off on the plus side. An 8 mile hike will show as 10 or 11 miles. When I look at the track I can see the problem is when I stop the GPS drifts. I understand that drifting while stationary is normal my question is this....Can I somehow pause or stop tracking when I take a break? I cannot find info how to do this in the manual. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
+JohnCNA
Yes, you can pause tracking. Main menu, Setup, Tracks, Do Not Record. When you're ready to move again, turn recording back on. Record Method=Auto seems to help with drifting a little, too. Quote Link to comment
DavisonDave
Also check that you have the newest software. Garmin had a bug that was fixed in the newer software. The newest software for the 64 is 3.70. Quote Link to comment
