New To Mac, Not new to Geocaching

I have taken a breather from Geocaching for the last 2 years... I updated everything this weekend and thought i was good to go.

I've missed it so much!

Problem is I have since bought a Mac (only a week or 2 ago)

I am very new to mac and learning as I go.

I was able to generate a query.

I have had the query emailed to me (therefore able to download it)

I was able to find and download it to the Mac.

I downloaded and launched the plugin for my Garmin 60CX.

I can transfer each cache to my GPS individually with no problem

I want to be able to send my query to my GPS and am stumped.

I guess i have been spoiled with the plug and play aspect from phone etc.

I use my iPhone but my battery dies too quickly when it is cold(and I don't want my kids to drop it as it's not as durable as my GPS)

How do I transfer?? I See the 2 files get downloaded to my Mac I think I want to transfer both, I don't need to download more software do it?

Stumped....and not the good kind.

Thank you in advance for all the help.... I even just cross my fingers that I can make it back to find this topic once I get a comment on it.. lol sigh!

Sorry I am so new to Mac it hurts (now i understand what my mother in law use to feel like when she would call to ask me PC questions)

I open a finder window and see Garmin under devices but I don't have anything listed in (or as a subfolder) there except the Plugin I downloaded and ran.

I can not create a folder under Garmin?? Am I looking in the right place?

I try opening a second finder window and I do see the downloaded files from my query but cannot just drop from one window to the other?

I went to college for computer programming in PC lol... I feel so useless in Mac

Still adapting :)

Thank you

You say you have a 60CX. I believe that's one of the 'older' generation GPSr that don't support pocket queries (or drag & drop GPX files in general).

You can download and install BaseCamp for Mac and load the PQ into BaseCamp. From there, you can send all caches to your Garmin. Paperless caching is not supported, so only waypoints are transferred.

I always used my GPS for paperless caching before when I was running it off a PC.

True I don't believe I drag and dropped anything at that point. (there was GSAK (i think it was called) that I had to use.) But

When looking on my main screens of my GPS there is a place for waypoints as well as one for Geocaches.

I can download BaseCamp for Mac and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you.
