+Colorado Cacher
I am in need of the outer rubber trim ring that goes on a Garmin Etrex Venture HC with the push buttons to make it function. This appears to be a one piece unit. I can salvage it from a dead venture if anybody has a broken one to sell I suppose. If so, please let me know, as I refuse to pay Garmin $79.00 to fix it, per their quote. Edited April 18, 2015 by Colorado Cacher Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
On one of those bidding sites I found this. We fixed an old Legend with parts sold on bidding sites. - The maunufacturer wanted big bucks for repair on a discontinued unit. Quote Link to comment

+ecanderson
Garmin used to send those out with the adhesive band for free with a little beg and grovel action. Do they no longer have them? Quote Link to comment
Nmw
I too feel that garmin should post these out free of charge. Cost is fair enough if you want garmin to do the work putting a new one on though. If you do need to resurect the old one this may help in attaching it. http://photo-bytes.com/technical-stuff/132-how-to-un-goo-a-garmin-etrex Quote Link to comment

Do they no longer have them? I don't even think they care at all. I have posted numerous requests of disgust on their Facebook page, and get no response at all from them. Quote Link to comment

Thank you all, so far. Quote Link to comment
