+gsmX2
I created the cartridge with the builder, compiled it in the builder, it runs perfectly in the emulator and on my Oregon. When trying to upload the I get this message. Wrong Local header signature: 0x41430A02 Any ideas what is going wrong. Quote Link to comment
+gsmX2
Other thing I can add to this problem. When I try to compile the LUA file via the internet tool, I get this message. System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipException: Wrong Local header signature: 0x75716572 at ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip.ZipInputStream.GetNextEntry() at Wherigo.CartridgeService.ExtractCompileCartridge(String gwzFilename, String cartridgeId, Int64 playerId, String playerName, DeviceType deviceType, String completionCode, String binaryFilename) at Wherigo.CartridgeService.CompileGWZFile(Byte[] cartridgeFile, Int64 userId, String username, String completionCode, DeviceType deviceType) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- Scott Quote Link to comment
+gsmX2
I was able to figure it out. I was trying to upload the .gwc file that is created to play the emulator. Are there instructions for how to zip, compile, and then upload the gwz file? If not, I hope someone puts directions together. Quote Link to comment
J2B2
Are there instructions for how to zip, compile, and then upload the gwz file? If not, I hope someone puts directions together. A .gwz is just a regular .zip file that contains your lua file and any associated media. You don't need to compile anything; the website will do that for you when the cart is downloaded. Just zip up your cartridge contents and upload them. (If you don't have a compression utility on your computer, 7-Zip or WinRAR both work well) To get a .gwz file, all you have to do is rename the .zip file extension. But you can save yourself a step and just upload the .zip file, since the website will accept either. Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
As far as I know, to upload a GWZ manually, zip all your files together (images and lua source code, no directories) and rename the extension from ZIP to GWZ. After that, upload the file as you have on the Wherigo.com web site. Glad to hear you figured it out. Quote Link to comment
+Wesso Family
I am having the same error message??? I'm trying to publish to Wherigo Quote Link to comment
+Kankui
I am trying to upload my first .lua so I can test my Wherigo build before submitting. Getting: "Server was unable to process request. ---> Wrong Local header signature: 0x21726152" Server was unable to process request. ---> Wrong Local header signature: 0x75716572 Any ideas? I tried converting to .rar then uploading. No luck. Edited July 14, 2015 by Kankui Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
Just to check: you were zipping the lua file, not changing its file extension, right? Quote Link to comment
+Suse6
I am also trying to upload my first .lua to Wherigo Builder for testing, and received the same error message. I changed the .zip to .gwz, and am able to upload the .gwz file for compilation. I receive the message "Do you want to open or save CompiledCartridge.gwc from Wherigo.com?" When I select open, I'm asked "How do you want to open this type of file (.gwc)?" It he first option is "Look for an app in the Store," but more options are available. Wherigo Builder is an option, but when I select it I get the error message "This app can't run in your PC." I've tried this on a Windows 8 computer using both Chrome and Internet Explorer with the same results. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
Ranger Fox
I wasn't aware Groundspeak's builder was in the Windows Store. I'm not sure which application you used to create the cartridge, so I'm going to go about this a few ways. You could go to Webwigo and send it either the GWZ or GWC. You could go to Wherigo.com and download Groundspeak's builder application from a link in the third column (and you'll have to install the two fixes pinned to the top of the "Building" forum). You could install Urwigo and import the cartridge into that and use the included emulator. If you made the cartridge with Kit, you could click on the Webwigo emulator icon to launch the cartridge in Webwigo. Edited August 16, 2015 by Ranger Fox Changed it to a list Quote Link to comment
