We're stuck with 3rd Tier Support reassignment and they have been

unresponsive up to now. We're in "waiting for them" mode and have

asked again what's up with this. Here is the Tech Ticket, I hope they

resolve this soon:

----------

Case Detail

Case Number: 00544078

Status: Reassigned

First & Last Name: MARC SILVERMAN

Subject: REGISTERED Domain is STILL not Resolving

Description: We REGISTERED the Domain Names NS1.COINTRACKING.NET and

NS2.COINTRACKING.NET. We updated the DNS for two domains in our

account (xyzservers.com and cointracking.COM) to these new settings.

After more than 72 hours the report from dnswatch.info STILL shows the

NS are still pointing to the previous (incorrect) settings:

A: 68.178.193.10 (correct)

NS: ns1.thegiftjar.com (wrong)

NS: ns2.thegiftjar.com (wrong)

Can you investigate this - our two sites are not resolving to the new

REGISTERED domain, instead they are still pointing to the incorrect

old NS:

NS: ns1.thegiftjar.com

We are still awaiting action on this - can you resolve this, it has

been several days now and the sites are still inoperative.

Dang, Well at least they are trying. Hope you guys get some credit for your time down. When my cable is down I get a $12.50 / day :)

woo-hoo Cointracking.com is back !!

And then, suddenly, just like that, everything came back up and GoDaddy has no explanation at all.

Not even an apology. I sent in a last tech ticket saying to just get it fixed and charge me, and it fixed.

They did something, but I have no idea what it was...

Thanks for your understanding and patience - sometimes (as is the case with GoDaddy it seems) "technology" and "ignorance" are synonyms...

It is working for me (7 p.m. U.S. mountain time on Monday) with Firefox.

I have sent several messages to silvermarc asking what is going on and haven't heard back, but it has only been a few days and maybe he is taking some family time or whatever. Life does get priority over addictions. <_<

I can get to it at home via IE 8 or FF which is a wide open connection. Cannot even ping it at work with cmd line. I first starting using CT at work so I know some restrictions must have changed either on my network side or with CT.com.

I was having problems getting in then I deleted the cointracking cookies and it seems to be working fine now.

That worked for me also. Thanks, that is usually the last thing I think of!

Me too! LOL

But for some strange reason I thought of it this time. I must have had a good night's sleep or something!

Some follow-up, just so everyone knows what was happening...

Hi.

In case I didn't get back to you on this:

Changes were made that have totally addressed the DNS issues. Every so often the top level domain registrars make changes to the way DNS handles the Registered Domain names (these are the NS domains (ns1.xyzservers.com and ns2.xyzservers.com). When changes are made, they are often not known to us until issues occur, then we research and find out about the changes and what has to be done. We had to scramble to make changes on the server - some we had to make, others the hosting company had to make.

All of our sites that were affected are now working perfectly as they should, and there should be no more issues relating to this particular situation.

Have a great weekend!

For the last 2 weeks I have been entering all my collection on cointracking. Quite a long process and I even added pictures for coins that didn't have any or with poor quality ones. This morning I wanted to check something and I can't get anything :( Anyone has the same problem?

No postal service and now this! What am I going to do

message just received from SilverMarc when I asked about status

Tech support is on it. I am so disgusted with [our hosting company] - even though it would be quite a project to move to a new host, looks like this is what will have to happen.
