+RStarrT
I have a Garman GPSMAP64s, and on my micro card, I have a 24K topo that I would like to move from the card to the device internal storage. I want to do this so I can put a different map card in the device slot, and have both available to be enabled on the device as needed. How can I move the 24K map into internal storage??? :-) Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
+Timpat
Simply copy (or cut I should say) the .img from one to the other while connected via USB. All map ,img files go into the Garmin folder on either. Be sure each map .img has a unique name so one does not overwrite another. Quote Link to comment
+RStarrT
Did it. Works perfectly. Just wasn't sure where to put the cut file. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
cleo43
I have the world in the palm of my hand - literally (my Dakota 20) - using a 16G micro SD card, loaded with bunches of OSM IMG files. The files are named gmapsupp, gmapsup1, gmapsup2 ... Be sure to disable the maps that are not needed otherwise the booting can be slow ! Quote Link to comment
