Dakota 20

First you need to connect your Dakota to any computer via-USB.

You need to install some software from Garmin, so your computer can recognize the device you have.

After that, log into www.geocaching.com with your account, select any cache you want and click "send to my GPS".

That will install a .gpx file in the GPX folder of your device, with all the details of a given cache, such as: coordinates, description, logs, etc.

You can see this folder (and all the others), accessing the device like if it is an external disk on your computer. Like that you can also add any other .gpx files, or delete those caches that you already Found, by instance.

I thought that .gpx files were a Premium bennie, Members receive .loc files -- lacking cache details, logs, hints, etc.

... but yes, download the Garmin Communicator from here: http://software.garmin.com/en-US/gcp.html ;

Use the "Send to GPS" button on each cache page to send the download data to the unit, while the unit is plugged to the computer via USB cable.
