How to toggle between Drive mode and hike mode on Earthmate PN 60?

Anyone know how to toogle between drive mode and hike mode on a Earthmate PN 60. I usually use the hike mode, but recently I tried the drive mode. Now I can't seem to get out of drive mode. When I click on a waypoint I get asked to delete, view or hit route .When I hit route I get asked drive or hike. When I hit hike I get "Recalculate error An error occured while recalculating the route. Try again?" If I hit yes, I get the same message.

 

Any suggestions?

I use aDelorme pn60 but I can't help because I've never had that problem. I would suggest trying the DeLorme forums. I would suggest calling customer support which used to be excellent but I haven't tried it since Garmin bought the company. A solution for a number of flaky problems in the past has been to remove the batteries and leave them out for several hours. I tend to regard this as voodoo since I don't know of any rational reason why it should work.
