Girls Phind Squirrels
We are caching on vacation. After our battery died our caches will no longer display. We know they are there but it tells us they are not. HELP. Quote Link to comment
Red90
Are the caches on an external card or in internal memory? If external, turn off, remove the card, turn on, turn off, insert card, turn on again. If internal, you either need to connect to a computer and rename the file or you are stuck resetting the unit. If you reset, you will lose any waypoints that were manually added and the track log. Edited July 29, 2016 by Red90 Quote Link to comment

Red90
Can you clarify the model. I'm not finding a 74ST in my search. Quote Link to comment
Red90
Okay, so 64st. If you have a computer. Connect the GPS and put in mass storage mode. Go to the folder Garmin/GPX and rename the file(s) that contain the Geocaches. Reboot the unit and they should show up. If you don't, then you need to do a reset of the unit. https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId=%7B94841fa0-ca0c-11e0-cf56-000000000000%7D Quote Link to comment

Red90
For future reference, this is why it is preferable to put GPX and GGZ files on a micro-SD card. It allows you to fix the problem in the field. Quote Link to comment
