Which site to use

The difference is the Wherigo Foundation site will eventually become the official Wherigo site. Groundspeak and I have been discussing this and a partnership agreement is being worked on. Some reviewers are aware a few people have been having problems logging in and uploading their cartridges to Groundspeak's site, so they're allowing the WF site to be used instead. All data tied to my account and my Wherigo Illuminati testing account is subject to deletion, modification, or corruption; all other data will continue forward. It's going to be a challenge merging the two sites!

Another difference is the WF site works, has a lot more features, has someone actively working on it, and offers an all-important API. This API will be used by the WF app (and others, including builder applications) to access the site's data directly.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Okay I asked this somewhere else but no reply. I uploaded a gwz file to the Wherigo Foundation site. But what's next. How do I know it is published? And how do I get it on the cache page. I don't get some kind verification I entered it or a number or something? How do I access or view it on the Foundation site?

I posted a reply to your question five hours before you asked it here. I'm going to continue the question answering with the new questions you asked.

What's next?

Well, you can link it to a geocache via its GC code, give the cartridge some attributes, give your friends access if they're helping you make or test the cartridge. Things like that. Once your Wherigo geocache is published, your cartridge will publish automatically (see the other post for the specific details because the cartridge publish isn't something that can be in sync).

How do I know it's published?

Aside from what I mentioned in my previous reply, you will receive a cartridge publication email alert when your cartridge is published (either by your own hand or the auto-publish).

How do I get it on the cache page?

Hyperlink? As a related page? Whatever you prefer.

Getting a number (or something)

Each cartridge has a WG code associated with it (just like how geocaches have a GC code).

How do I access the cartridge on the WF site?

Aside from what I already said, once your cartridge is published, you can search for it by its name, your handle, coordinates, location, etc.
