Free App Vs Premium App

So I have just been introduced to GeoCaching and downloaded the free app, then logged some finds. After this I purchased the pro app.

Now some of my finds on the free app are not appearing on the pro app. There are also some unfound caches that appear on the free app but not the pro.

Is this normal? If not, does anyone know how I can fix this?

Notice in the above post by Pup Patrol, those direct links are to the Intro-app, Pro-app and Premium Membership.

There is no "Premium app".

If you "upgraded" to Premium through the app itself, then you upgraded your membership to Premium. This has little, if any affect on the app itself. In order to acquire the Pro-app, you must purchase it through the App Store (on your iPhone), not through the Intro-app.

Thanks for the links! That gives me an idea as to what is different between the apps. I've purchased the app on the App Store, and I've also purchased a one year Premium Membership. Can anyone explain why there are traditional cache locations that show in the Intro App, that won't show in the paid app, with Premium Membership?

I'll take a guess here. Where I live you can see a handful of caches with the free app. You can see way, way more with the paid app-a hundred or more in a couple places. The app will only show X amount of caches(20?) So if there are more than that you'll have to move the map a bit and do another search (The magnifying glass on the bottom right of the map screen)

IIRC, the intro app is limited to good "beginner" caches. So if there is something about the cache that makes it not a good "beginner" cache, then it won't show up in the intro app.

The type (traditional) is only one of the characteristics of good "beginner" caches. Caches may be excluded for other reasons too, such as having a high difficulty/terrain rating, or having had problems reported, or not having been found for a long time.

I gave this a try with no luck. Maybe it's just a glitch. I can find the missing caches in the Pro version when I search by the GC code.

I think I'll just delete the Intro app and pretend that it never existed :D
