post reviewers notes

Recommended Posts

I think you have it mixed up a bit here. The reviewer notes are just that: notes on the cache page you write to the reviewer. Maybe just to say thanks, or maybe clarification on permission.

Now seeing who, when, and how many times is only available on premium member only caches. You have to make the cache PMO. To view that info, go to the cache page and select view audit log.

You're describing the Audit Log on a PMO cache.

An Audit Log is a list of users who have viewed a Premium Member Only Geocache on the web site. The geocache owner can use the Audit Log to see a detailed list that shows these data:

Last Visit

First Visit

Username

#Times

The cache owner can find a link to "[read the audit log]" at the top of his or her Premium Member Only geocache, just above the geocache coordinates.

Reviewer Notes disappear once a cache is published.

1.7. Working With the Reviewer: Communication

http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=74

Each new geocache is reviewed by a community volunteer reviewer before publication. Sometimes, your geocache is published just as you submitted it. At other times, the reviewer may have questions or suggestions for you.

Pay attention to the messages from the reviewer. S/he will often provide you with instructions on how best to communicate. Sometimes, s/he prefers email. You can email people through the website even if you do not have their email address. Just click on their name to go to their Profile Page and you'll see a link to send a message.

Sometimes, s/he prefers that you use a Reviewer Note. These notes become part of the logs on your cache page. Reviewer Notes are automatically hidden when the geocache is published, so that the general public does not see them.

To log a Reviewer Note, look at the Navigation section at the top of your geocache page:

1. Log your visit.

2. Post a Reviewer Note.

3. Submit that log entry.

Please note that once the geocache is published, owners can no longer communicate with the reviewer via Reviewer Notes. If you need to contact your reviewer after your geocache is published, or for something unrelated to getting your geocache published, you can email them from their profile page (see above).

There was an exception to that, a quirk in the system on one of my hides. I had created a puzzle and I don't remember what it was but one reviewer was publishing it while another was posting a note that gave away the puzzle location. As soon as it was published I had to ask the reviewer to retract it which took awhile. The puzzle was spoiled and I had to come up with another idea.
