Fantastic TB stories

I like reading stories of TBs that successfully achieved their goals (the only TB I've ever released got disappeared the first cache it was dropped in :( ). Some of you may enjoy those accounts of geocaching goodness too, so I thought of sharing this amazing story I found online:

Does anyone have another story like that to share?

So, I have only been Geocaching for a little over 18 months.

I have now started my Video Blog, and have a channel on YouTube (Seemy Shell)

I got hold of a trackable that was put into a Geocache in Germany in September 2012, with the goal to reach his friend in Australia.

In September 2015 (3yrs later) the Trackable had travelled over 42,000klm and arrived in my hand, before looking to end the Trackables Journey with a neighbour (the destination)

I Vlogged the experience and loved it. I now have two new Geocaching friends due to delivering the Trackable.

First thing, that might seem a little bit off-topic: I just saw you (Seemyshells) on Joshua's video, and even replied to your comment there. This just shows how small our world is

About TB stories: The first Travel Bug that I found was called "Nemo" and it was portuguese (just like me!). I got really excited at that point. After having heard of them I finally got to find one, on the beach. After this, I went to geocaching.com and finally got to log my first TB. As of now, I've got some crazy TB ideas, but it is too early to share. I'll maybe post them later :D

Picked up a tb earlier this week. Checked the log and target only to discover that it was in its way back to the south west of England. It was collected from one side of the motorway and dropped on the other. The challenge was to get it to the rainforest but there was no way it was going to get there in the direction of travel. I have emailed the tb owner but he hasn't responded yet. I don't know what you all think but I am trying to get it out of the UK and on its way. It's already travelled over 14000 miles and has a long way to go. I have a cacher friend who travels a lot with work and he will hopefully get it into the continent. What does everyone think about tb hotels? Have read that some are abused and don't want to stop this little guy on his journey by making the mistake of putting him in a hotel. But is it worth the risk?

Awesome story, and a really fun video :) Interesting that the TB was just a laminated tag.

I recently picked up a TB (TB4Y1NJ) from a cache in the Scottish Highlands ... It wasn't meant to leave Melbourne, Australia so I'm about to put it into the snail mail system to get it back to the owner.

Also, the TBO of one of the very first TB's (TB37XEF) I ever found wanted it returned to them as (due to ill health) they could no longer go caching, it went into the snail mail system too.

Finally, I have just replaced a TB (TB70GFK) into a cache (GCJPYV) in Scotland which a couple of members had accidentally taken to Kansas, they sent it to me by snail mail and I made a point of returning it to the cache they found it in.

Neither of these stories are fantastic, but I hope they might qualify as vaguely interesting to some.

One of mine Kyoko Sakura has a goal of visiting churches. All of those who've grabbed it have taken it to various churches, and one woman said she would take it to Notre Dame and post photos of it there.

I love Kyoko's goal! Too bad people don't post photos of the churches :(

Well, here's a couple this particular cacher posted for me :)

I know a lot of people don't post photos, so having this cacher do this was so awesome!
