Hosscatt
For some reason when I have my Magellan Triton 500 gps connected to my laptop, it will randomly blue screen and restart the computer. This is very frustrating, ive tried uninstalling the vantage point software, but it always says it cant do it because its 'in use'. I can put caches from the site onto the gps fine, just have to be fast before it shuts my computer down. Anyone else have this problem? Quote Link to comment
+BDB_Cache_Seeker
Your USB port can only supply 0.5 amps in USB 1.0 and 1 Amp in USB 2.0 ports. You are probably drawing too much current with the GPS. Move it to a back panel USB port or connect only as "connect to computer" mode and run off the batteries while connected to the computer.
