It's very simple, when you log the cache, on the page with the dialogue box, after you type your message, below it an inventory of the trackables that you are holding will appear, to the right of this trackable will be a drop down for you to select either, 'No Action' 'visited' or 'dropped off' select 'dropped off' if you left the trackable. If you have already logged your visit to the cache, you can either go to your post and use the edit link and go in and drop your trackable that way or you can enter a new log under 'write note' you will have the same options either way.
