+ToRo61
I complained to geocaching.com yesterday and here is their answer... The Waymarking issue was resolved weeks ago. Our IT team had to work on that issue for quite awhile and the website should no longer have any down times. I will check in with that team again to see if there are any other issues occurring. We do have compatibility issues with internet explorer. The best browsers are typically chrome and safari. Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
I haven't really noticed any performance issues over the last week. The performance of the website has never been stellar, but the speed in the last few days seems to be the same as I remember before. ToRo61, do you see any performance issues on Geocaching.com or these forums? Quote Link to comment
+ToRo61
I spend a lot of time on Waymarking.com in last 2-3 weeks. So, I had many requests. Maybe 5% this requests takes more than 15 to 20 sec. I don't speak about complex query or sending big photos, I speak e.g. about simple edit and post new waymark. And also persists issue/promblem: This SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable. when I sending waymark to approve - button 'Submit waymark for review'. Yes, it's not as frequent as about two months ago, but sometimes it appears :-( Quote Link to comment
+Benchmark Blasterz
We are seeing waymark load times of up to 1 minute when we are logging visits, and longer than that when we are uploading photos. It is intermittent - we get 5-6 visits in at normal speed, then the next 3-4 take a long time. A harbinger of bigger problems?. Quote Link to comment
+ToRo61
Yes, I have a similar experience from yesterday :-( and also the message: 'This SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable.' appears again. All we can to do is to send a written complaints to the geocaching.com. I've done it. Quote Link to comment
+kJfishman
Waymarking web pages still load so slow! Any chance they will fix it? Quote Link to comment

Looks like the issue is not resolved and Groundspeak is just buying themselves time to resolve a bigger unknown issue. Quote Link to comment
+Manville Possum
Anyone else having problems with the site being extremely slow within the last 24 hours? Quote Link to comment

I haven't been on the site in the last 24 hours, but I tried just now and it was responding very quickly. Thanks for the response. I believe it was my internet provider and maybe related to the cold and snow. That is why I have been adding a few Waymarks, I'm snowed in. Quote Link to comment
+Tuena
Is anybody else experiencing exceptionally slow uploading times for photographs? It takes 4' 30" to upload a file of less than 4 megs in size. I uploaded a file of the same size to the Geocaching Australia website (run by volunteers & a server to suite) & uploaded in less than a minute. Then uploaded a photo for one of my Groundspeak caches & it took over 4 minutes to complete. To rub salt into the wound at times when 100% of the upload is complete & its waiting for a response from Waymarking, it will throw the operation out the door, lose the uploaded data & present me with the Preview & Submit button, so the whole process has to start again. +ToRo61
Waymarking.com or geocaching.com have probably worst response time of all servers in the Internet generally I upload photos at a lower resolution, 4MB for one photo is big luxury for Waymarking Quote Link to comment
+Tuena
I agree. I use my el cheapo camera rather than my super zoom as the latter's file size would see me waiting 7 minutes for an upload. This morning an upload took 3.5 minutes so an improvement of sorts. For awhile there the site recognised that the Earth wasn't flat & but back to N & W for an extra delay. Quote Link to comment
+Manville Possum
This upload issue is the main reason I don't post new WM's. On average it takes more than three minutes to upload photos from my PC, and it is impossible to upload photos from my Android. Quote Link to comment
+Tuena
Perhaps someone in authority could explain what the problem is & if a solution might be forthcoming. Quote Link to comment
+Benchmark Blasterz
VERRRRYYYYY SLLOOOOOWWWWW Uploads today at Waymarking -- this is going to really prevent me from Waymarking the way I want to be able to, since I have 3500 pictures to process through Waymarking. +thek6project
Yea I need to join the club, I have 100's of update stacking up and get maybe 1 or 3 done an hour due to constant time outs and super slow response.. I give up generally after 2 updates as I just done have the patents to stare as a blank screen wondering if anything is going on or not. Quote Link to comment
