+Igel25
Hi all I'm new in geocaching with a proper GPS. I got myself an etrex 35, updated the device an wanted to load some caches on it. To upload single caches from geocaching.com via "send to ..." worked absolutly fine. The cache appeared on the device in the menu "geocache". The file of the Cache was also on the device in the folder "garmin\gpx". Then I wanted to upload a pocket querie to the device. So I unzipped the file from geocaching.com and copied the two files in the folder "garmin\gpx" of the etrex. When I switched the device on, it toke some time but still ok. But in the menu "geocache" it said that there are no geocaches on the etrex. Instead of the caches I got a lot of waypoints. How can I fix the problem? I'dl like to have proper geocaches so I can use the proper "program" on the etrex an have access to all the Information of each cache on the etrex. Thank you for your help! Quote Link to comment
alandb
Sorry ... misread your post the first time so my original answer (now deleted) probably didn't apply. Are the waypoints you see just the child waypoints like parking spots, or are they the actual geocaches? Edited September 18, 2015 by alandb Quote Link to comment
+StefandD
Just some thoughts... * The caches might be too far away to show. Can Basecamp see them? * Is there a filter (e.g. show only found caches) active? * Are you really sure BOTH files are in the GPX map? Not just the *wpt.gpx? * Are there other caches on your unit? Does it exceed the limit? * Are there other GPX files on your unit? Does it exceed the limit? Quote Link to comment
