Where can I hide a geocache?

I'm new on this forum.

I just want to know if I can put a geocache on a roof of a building (for example a theater). Of course it's illegal to climb it, but the wiew could be beautiful and not very dangerous to climb it.

You can hide it anywhere that you get PERMISSION to hide it from the property owner.

If it's illegal to climb it, then you'd be breaking the law to put it there and would be causing others to break the law to find it. So no - don't put it there.

 

Obey all laws when placing or finding geocaches.

 

Even if you get permission from the theater (or other building) owner, I wouldn't put one there anyway because the general public or even employees won't know you have permission and could call the cops if they see someone climbing up.
