Size Limitation on Exp 500

Ok...Here is the deal.

I have a Magellan eXplorist 500 and have a 2gig SD card in it. I have a few different geocache files saved on there. Most are a few kb. I did have a large one that I downloaded many many points into it a .gs file that is 83kb. I still have room on the card (it is not full). When I go to active setup to make that file active, I recieve an error that states:

"Some Geocache data can't be read due to size limitation"

Does anyone know what the size limitation is? I have contacted Magellan and am waiting to hear...and waiting...and waiting....

Anyone with any ideas or similar problems? I know that I can try to split up the file, but I would view that as a last ditch effort.

Thanks in advance!!

I keep several cache files in my Explorist 500. I break them down by geographic location. Each file is crated with a PQ that I also have in my pocket PC

I have files for Sacramento, San Francisco, Davis, San Diego and so one. I just bring up the file that reflects the city I am in at the time. I keep each file to about 150 caches, there is not much chance that I will ever need more than that in a day or two.

You can also set for file to reflect cache type, terrain etc.
