Shawna426
I'm hoping to visit the UK and Ireland soon (going to try to rent a car in Ireland, may just travel by train or plane between London and Edinburgh, but may rent a car in either city in order to be able to explore further). It's a pain to search centered in a certain area, then sort by favorites, then do it all again in a new area, but I'm working on doing that to try to come up with the most-favorited caches, at least centered in a few areas, but what does the caching community recommend as can't-miss (or at least try-not-to-miss) caches in the British Isles? +Bear and Ragged
A better idea of where you are going would help, or are you planning the 'where' by where the caches are? Ireland it's worth trying for Europe's First http://coord.info/GC43 Quote Link to comment
Simply Paul
In Edinburgh, I'd not miss the virtual at the top of King Arthur's Seat overlooking the city. In London, there's lots I loved, but especially the multi at The British Library, the virtual at the top of The Monument (next to the tube station of the same name) and for some East End charm, the Jack the Ripper series. Visitors to London also often like to do the Virtual/s at Greenwich in the east of the city, especially the Meridian line one. Have a safe, fun trip. Bring a coat Quote Link to comment
TheHarleyRebel
You can search for caches near your location and press the blue ribbon to show the most favourited caches. Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
There are so many great caches around UK, it's difficult to suggest some without knowing which areas/towns you plan to visit. I could give you a "must do" at the far SW tip of England and another up on the north coast of Scotland... but are you likely to go to those extremes? When you have some definite route planned we can be of more help. Also, most UK geocaching chat now takes place on various facebook groups so (if you use facebook) you might like to join Geocaching UK MrsB Quote Link to comment
Gackt
The GAGB site list some FB groups and non-FB forums for various regions of the UK. They might be worth checking out if you know same areas you are heading. If you are into adventurous and tricky puzzle caches I can recommend the South Cotswolds as an area to visit. A few caches that our local forum members enjoyed last year are detailed here. Quote Link to comment
