Birthday caching!

So it's my birthday today, and recently I've become rather addicted to Geocaching - because of this my wife and 6 yr old daughter made me a birthday cake with the hint - 'Under some sticks and logs' - I just had to share it!

And indeed there was a geocache buried under there :D

What?! How dare they! That's against the guidelines!

Sounds like a neat idea. What type of container? Was it something small like a micro, or was it a huge cake with an ammo can inside?

A Team beat me to it. :)

Yep, he did! I was thinking the same thing!

 I like the first question you guys came up with, great minds think alike! the cache was a small tin with some sweets in, and it was even cameo'ed up!! :D

Thankfully I was the FTF, but sadly got beaten to being the FTE by my daughter... (First To Eat).

I like the idea of it being a HUGE cake though with a round film case tin buried inside, since that's about the largest cache I've found so far. :D

Makes me wonder if other geocachers do something special caching wise for their birthday.

When we could still place caches on the AT, my other 2/3rds hid ammo cans really far in from parking for my birthday.

At the time (kinda like now too...) many would walk miles, but few would walk that kinda terrain.

She'd hike it again with me.

Inside was a pic of whatever my present was that year.

One time it was a custom rifle.

I left a good prize for the next (the true FTF) finder that year. :)

Now we usually hit a distance series with higher terrain, or a few "5s", on what I call "The Old Fart's Birthday Run".

- Pretty-much a test on when it might be time to slow down. ;)
