+Alrpal
Can I use a 64 GB class 10 micro SDXC UHS-1 card to move maps into my Oregon 450 Edited April 16, 2016 by Alrpal Quote Link to comment
+Atlas Cached
Should work OK, but the GPSr will still be just as slow as it is with a basic uSD card. Card must be formatted FAT32. Quote Link to comment
paulxtr
The largest card I ever got to work was 32 GB, tried 64 GB but the Oregon wouldn't boot. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Plus there is not much point. It may be possible, but I'm not sure how you could use that much space without exceeding one of the device limits. Quote Link to comment
+PeoriaBill
It is not possible to have a larger than 4 GB file on a disk with FAT32 file system. Garmin GPS units use FAT32. Also, you cannot use a 64GB disk as there is also a 32GB limitation. If you Goggle FAT32 you can learn a lot more about this topic. Quote Link to comment

I have 64GB and 128GB uSD cards formatted FAT32. Quote Link to comment
+ecanderson
@Atlas Yes, but formatted into how many partitions? Quote Link to comment
+Red90
You can format into a larger than 32 GB partition just not with Window's built in formatter. I'm not sure if the GPS will recognize it though. I'm not sure why we keep discussing it as the OP never returned.... Quote Link to comment

I'm not sure if the GPS will recognize it though. It does :-) I'm not sure why we keep discussing it as the OP never returned.... Perhaps someone else with the same question will find this post and find the continued discussion very helpful to them ??? Quote Link to comment
+Red90
I'm not sure if the GPS will recognize it though. It does :-) To be more clear, it may use the card, but may not be able to use the complete space. This has been shown to be true with previous units. There is probably no way to tell as it would be very hard to add on more than 32 GB of data without exceeding one of the unit's limits. Quote Link to comment
