I would like to search for a keyword and within a certain area. I cannot work out how to search for two attributes. I thought I may be able to just search the keyword and then click the top of the 'distance from home' column but the distances do not come up when just searching for a keyword. If you use a caching app on a smartphone, you can do keyword searches for a particular search location through one of the paid Groundspeak apps or an app that supports the Groundspeak API (Geocaching Live). As a premium member, you can search for attributes through Pocket Queries. Groundspeak provides some help with creating queries if you have not used this feature before. Quote Link to comment
+lugzmcpie Posted July 23, 2014 Author Share Posted July 23, 2014 Thanks for your advice I have been trying to do it on my computer, and have premium membership but not a paid for app. I have seen a few challenges and wish to search the keyword 'challenge' and see what is within 100-200 miles of me. I have just had a play with pocket queries and as a challenge is not a specific type of cache I cannot produce a sufficient list. Perhaps buying an app is the only way to do this? Thanks again! Lugzy In the UK 'Challenge' caches are marked as ? Unknown/Mystery caches... (So ARE a 'specific' type of cache.) Filtering a PQ for ? caches, then using third party software (GSAK) would filter the number down. Not perfect, but probably about the best you can do. Have you checked for Bookmark list on the challenge caches you have found? Often cachers will make Bookmark for chalenge caches, which often are shared/public. Quote Link to comment

Sort of like a pretend multi cache! I think looking through bookmarks will be a great idea - thank you, I'll give that a go! Alphanumeric cache and Alphanumeric Cacher challenges: No Challenge cache. Find caches with names A to Z and numbered 0 to 9 Or Find caches hidden by users named A to Z and numbered 0 to 9 The towns one is new to me! ETA GSAK will do the work, but a free and easy site is mygeocachingprofile.com Works from your My Finds PQ and will show which you have found/those still missing. - I have found 31 of the 36 required! I started bookmarking a couple of challenges which led to the recommendation of a few challenge bookmark lists so I have pocket queried these.
