random_incoherencies
Can anyone direct me on how to deactivate a geocoin? As far as I know, It can't be done. Once activated, it will always be activated. Quote Link to comment
Flying Spaghetti Monster
That is correct. There is no way to deactivate a geocoin once it has been activated. Quote Link to comment
+palmetto
It can be adopted over to someone else. I mention this in case trying to pass it on to someone is the motivation for your question. The adoption utility will handle coin transfers www.geocaching.com/adopt/ Quote Link to comment
+Tschakko
As far as I know they can be archived. I have applied for this on two coins as I am currently a victim of a bunch of virtual loggers that keep logging and logging and logging. Would be great if it were possible to deactivate or at least lock the a coins from logging. Quote Link to comment
+drneal
check with Love...I believe I read somewhere coins can be locked at your request..not sure if they can be unlocked again though. it seems a shame that the coin owners who paid for that tracking number (directly or indirectly,) get the short end of the stick...maybe if the virtual loggers should have their accounts locked instead ! +nevadanick
I believe drneal is correct. Trackables can be locked, but they will never unlock them in the future, but they do remain the active property of the coin holder and it stays in their collection. Also agree that I would rather pursue a violation report as GS prohibits any kind of harassment through logging and or profiles, which continual coin logging would be, imo. Quote Link to comment
