+goldbug ron
Okay, I have my new Oregon 600. Upgrading from the 400t. Took it outside and loaded the satellites and did some basic setup. Now I bring it in and hook it up to my computer and it goes into Mass Storage. How do I get it into GPS mode? My 400t says 'Cable detected. Do you want to go into Mass Storage Yes/No'. If the 600 won't work in GPS mode from my automobile cable it is no good too me. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Something like setup/system/interface. "Garmin spanner" mode give you the option of mass storage mode or "spanner" mode. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Something like setup/system/interface. "Garmin spanner" mode give you the option of mass storage mode or "spanner" mode. Also, if you use a genuine Garmin power cable, it will go straight to GPS mode regardless of the settings. Quote Link to comment
+goldbug ron
I am using the USB cable supplied with my 400t. I will try the cable that came with the 600 but I would think they would be the same. Also, The auto cable is Garmin. I will put it into 'spanner' and see what happens. Thanks guys. +goldbug ron
That worked. I should have looked at the 'Interface' setting on my 400t. It is set to spanner. I've had the 400t for 6 years, I guess the settings aren't fresh in my mind anymore. Thanks very much for the refresher. Quote Link to comment
