I am eager to try the paperless Geocaching feature but I cannot find any instructions to get the free 1 month Groundspeak Premium Service that is advertised on the Garmin website. I registered my product as in intructed but never got an option to subscribe to the premium service. I searched the contents of the box but came up with a big fat DNF. Can anyone help me? savant9 Posted November 4, 2008 Share Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) I believe when you register the device, it asks you to connect the usb cable to the pc. After it verifies this info there is a link to groundpeak on the next webpage that when you click it it takes you to this site where you claim your 1 month membership. If you missed that (or didnt get it) I am not sure if you can get back to it. You can try looking around in the MyGarmin area of their site, you may find the link. I was able to get one trial membership on my first Colorado but I have 2 more Colorados that I can’t because the detecting plugin doesn’t work. The page says “Each new Garmin device can be set up to receive a complimentary 30-day Groundspeak Premium Membership.”????? Quote Link to comment

+threegoood Posted November 13, 2008 Share Posted November 13, 2008 I have had a similar problem with my Colorado. I didn't activate the free trial when I registered the GPS. Now when I go back to the free trial page http://www.geocaching.com/garmin/freetrial.aspx, I can successfully verify the plug in installation, but the button to activate the 30 day trial doesn't work!
