zoothornrollo
I cant get the Kindle to show the information about individual caches when looking at the maps. Caches show up, but when I hover over the icon, the information box doesn't pop up. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes? Quote Link to comment
peacefrog77
I have the same problem with mine. Using a stylus doesn't help, making it larger doesn't help, someone else's finger doesn't help. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
londontavern
I also have the same problem when using a smart phone. The process of tapping the screen and the cache window appearing is very slow. The solution for me and its not very good seems to be, zoom in until you only have the one icon, tap the icon with the very tip of your finger (once every few seconds) whilst keeping an eye on the area under your tapping finger, as soon as you spot the cache name pop up in a small window, stop tapping immediately (if you don't then by tapping again it seems to cancel the request for the cache details window). Once you have spotted the cache name pop up it takes another second or two for the details window to appear. Due to how the touch screens work the dryer your fingers the worse it may be. Try 'lightly' licking the very tip of your tapping finger and try again, a bit unhygienic but it seems to improve matters. Quote Link to comment
peacefrog77
thanks. I've tried some of those ideas, but not all. Now I'm debating buying another tablet type to use with geocaching. I would rather have a bigger tablet or small laptop. I can't break that in my pocket or drop it on a hike. Any suggestions about ones that do or do not work well? Seems that kindle fire is not a good idea. Quote Link to comment
Red90
The better solution would be to use the Groundspeak app. The browser version of Groundspeak's site is not designed for touchscreen use. Quote Link to comment
