Best app for downloading caches to Samsung Galaxy

Firstly - Hello! Newbie to the forum, but not newbie to Geocaching.com.

 

I have the standard Geocaching app on my Samsung galaxy. However, my reception isn't always great. How do you actually download these to your phone to use when you're not in coverage? (Can I do it from the app, or do I need to do it from geocaching.com?)

you can download caches with the app, but I don't think the app has offline map support yet. Maybe Locus Pro?

You can save caches for offline use, with "Lists".

Among Apps on my droid phone, I prefer Locus Pro, with a couple of state maps, and any recently run Pocket Queries as a backup in case of any problem with my Garmin Oregon. In an App, Geocaching features are buried in sub-sub-menus, but that's the way it goes.

I'm using (as backup) GDAK on my Android tablet. It's designed for 100% offline but also works online.

It can download caches as GPX, pocket query and via API.

Gcdroid has some great features. Their dropbox integration feature to pull gpx files from the cloud is great.
