+Pontiac_CZ
How to reproduce: 1) open the map - http://www.geocaching.com/map 2) type in "Chicago, IL" (or whatever place you wish) and press Enter (or click the search button) 3) nothing happens Firefox 45.0.2 Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
Yep, seeing the same thing with Firefox 45.0.2 However, this is working okay on IE 11 Quote Link to comment
+HHL
It works with Firefox calling the url with https. https://www.geocaching.com/map/ Hans Quote Link to comment
+Pontiac_CZ
Affirmative, it does work on HTTPS on FF 45.0.2. Groundspeak, please change the link to the map on the profile page (which itself already is on https) so we don't have to manually retype the address in the address bar. Or make it work on http. +Calypso62
Not working for me in IE11 but working with Chrome. Quote Link to comment
+thomfre
It started working again for me in Chrome after switching from http to https. I guess https should be forced Quote Link to comment
+cheech gang
I am still having this issue. Was anything changed to remedy it? Quote Link to comment

padrone
Same problem: Example: GET https://www.geocaching.com/api/geocode?q=London XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://www.geocaching.com/api/geocode?q=London. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.geocaching.com' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 403. +Pontiac_CZ
We just want the devs to change the map link on the profile page to "https". It's only ONE letter to type. They were notified by Moun10Bike on April 22 and we have May 2 today. This is just sad... Quote Link to comment
+Von-Horst
So glad that it isn't just me, and that there's a workaround... Quote Link to comment

The map doesnt respond when I enter a town or city name!! You are likely seeing the issue on the map where search does not work if you are using http:// protocol (as opposed to https://). This has been fixed and the fix will go live at out next site update. I believe the next site update will occur tomorrow (they generally happen on Tuesdays). Quote Link to comment
+Yosemsam11
I'm still having issues with the search function on the map. I signed out and signed back in but that still didn't fix anything. Since this thread basically stopped two days ago, is anyone else still having issues with the search function? Quote Link to comment

It doesn't look like there was a site update yesterday, so the fix hasn't been applied yet. Until it is, you can use the workaround of simply changing "http" to "https" in the URL of the map page to get the search to work. Quote Link to comment

+Pontiac_CZ
The link on the "Your profile" page is fixed to https. It took only two weeks from the report. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
