+pbtgeo
I just picked up my first travel bug in Kitty Hawk on the North Carolina shore. When I went online to log it I found the current goal to be "Reach the North Carolina Shore". I was going to take it back to Williamsburg, VA with me and put it in a cache there. What to do?? +cerberus1
You don't have a trackable in your inventory, so can't see what the mission says. If there is nothing in the mission (other than to reach the goal it's currently at), taking it to drop in another cache elsewhere should be fine. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Okay, found it. Since there is no mission other than reaching where it is now (such as a return back home...), VA sounds fun. Quote Link to comment
+Lt.Ranger.Bob
I would contact the owner of the trackable to see what they might want to do with it. Quote Link to comment

+b4danica
I have the same issue. A TB I grabbed not knowing at the time it was in the location that accomplished the goal. It had been sitting there for a month (in the cache) and I logged it & have kept it traveling around town with me. I messaged the TB owner but they haven't been active for years & have not had a reply. I kind of figured I'm keeping it going but can always turn it back in if the original owner every contacts me. In the mean time, I'm sort of using it as my mascot documenting all the places I've been. Edited August 22, 2015 by b4danica Quote Link to comment

Just because the TO isn't active any longer (that you know of...) doesn't mean the thing's now yours... Quote Link to comment
+fuzziebear3
Just drop it off (and log it) into another cache. It isn't yours to keep, it can just bounce around a bit more now that it has met its goal. Quote Link to comment
+Shinook & White Juan
It would be fun to know the success rate of travelbugs that do reach their goal. Would be interesting. Edited August 28, 2015 by Shinook & White Juan Quote Link to comment
+fuzziebear3
Kinda hard to figure out though. Usually, if I have one reach its goal, I just give it a new goal and it continues on from there. Quote Link to comment
