Multi-cache. Multiple starts, one end?

Thinking about setting up a multi cash for a group of year 7-9 students with multiple starting points, multiple stages but only one final cache. Has anybody done this? Any issues having it approved? My thinking is after the event I'll only leave one rout to the final cache. Thoughts?

This sounds like your initial intention is to set up a cache for a private event and then leave part of it as a permanent cache on the website. I don't think that would be published but there is no problem with you doing this as an activity and then having the final design published if it meets all requirements.

I've seen multi-caches (and multi-stage puzzle caches) that had more than one route to the final location, so I really don't think that will be an issue. There's no rule that says that there can't be multiple ways to figure out the location of the final container.

But as Team Taran indicated, temporary caches are not listed on this site. As the Geocache Permanence guidelines state:

"Cachers will expect your cache to remain in place for a realistic and extended period of time. Therefore, caches that have the goal to move (traveling caches), or temporary caches (caches hidden for less than 3 months or for one-time events) will not be published."

I am just in the process of publishing a multi cache that can be started anywhere as the route is circular. the co-ords for each clue are displayed and when at that co-ord you look for something specific that has an answer that is a number.. those numbers then make up the co-ord for the final cache. For example the cache may be hidden at N 52 030.986 E 001 18.483 but I would publish it like this N 52 030ABC E 001 18.DEF then I would list 6 'virtual' co-ords that are named A-F with clues to the missing digits relating to something you can see from that co-ordinate like 'the number of times the letter 'E' appears in the nearest house name',. That way it doesn't matter what order you do them in as long as you replace the correct letter with the correct answer to the clue
