Namaste7777
Ever since my computer seemed to upgrade itself to Microsoft 10 I am unable to load Caches onto my Garmin. Does anybody know how I get round this problem or do I give up Geocaching? Quote Link to comment
noncentric
What is your usual method of loading caches to your Garmin - Pocket Query, Send to GPS, other? Which Garmin unit are you using? My laptop recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I haven't had any issues loading GPX files (from PQ's) to my Garmin eTrex 20. Quote Link to comment

StefandD
Search this forum for 'Garmin Communicator' and you'll see more people had this problem. Bottom line is: Edge and Chrome don't support this plug-in. Internet Explorer (still in Windows 10!) and Firefox still do. Quote Link to comment
noncentric
I am using a Garmin Oregon 650 and use "Send to GPS" As StefandD noted in the previous post, using 'Send to GPS' is problematic for some cachers depending on which browser they are using. If the information in the "garmin communicator" topics doesn't remedy your problems, then you may want to look into using Pocket Queries. You can create PQ's for an entire area and limit the results to certain types/ratings/attributes. You can also add specific caches to a Bookmark List and then run a PQ of that list to get all the bookmarked caches in 1 download. PQ's and Bookmark Lists are benefits that come with your Premium Membership. Edited May 31, 2016 by noncentric Quote Link to comment

SantaJohn
Did you get this problem solved? If not this is what I did. I am a Newbie also. I have the Garmin Oregon 650T. I am using windows 10 also. I made me a folder on my desk top and labeled it GEOcache. then I ran a Pocket Query and had it saved to that folder. The I unzipped it. Then I went to my file explorer. once I found out where my Garmin was located, "has to be plugged into your computer", I dragged over the unzipped Pocket query and saved it to my Garmin in the GPX file. It worked great then. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
Upfisk
I'm really new at this but loading geocaches hasn't been a problem. Run a pocket query, have it sent by email to you. Open email and then the download, and watch it unzip, then click on the unzipped folder. Close the email screen, click on computer, click on the GPS, click on Garmin, now click back on the unzipped file folder and grab the *.gpx and drag to the gpx folder in the Garmin. Copies in no problem. I have Windows 7 and a Garmin Oregon 600. Moving files like this is no different from moving files in a camera or SD card to a folder on the computer. Quote Link to comment
