+Stella&Dory Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 I hid my first cache, and put a new trackable in it - I didn't even find out it was published until it was already found. The trackable was retrieved before I had a chance to "drop" it to my new cache (I couldn't find away to do it while it was under review). I'd love to give the trackable the correct starting point in it's original cache - but it's already in the hands of the cacher that found it. Is there anyway to update that so it's logged correctly? Thanks! Probably easiest to just contact the person that picked it up, and ask them to drop/retrieve the trackable in your cache. That should correct the situation. Quote Link to comment

You drop a trackable into an unpublished cache just as you would any other. Use a log to the cache page, and select the trackable from your inventory to drop with the log. Pre-publication, you can post Write Note and Reviewer Note logs to your own caches. Either will work. Quote Link to comment

Turns out I just wasn't scrolling down enough in the log entry page - (kind of like what happens when I'm searching for a cache - if only I use common sense and look a little further! lol) I decided to take Chubby TB's advice and just message the cacher that grabbed it.
