+Adler 12
Hi there, as I try to log my Geocaching day, i always open all Geocaches and line them up in my browser, but here I got some issues. After an undefined period, the website starts to timeout. As I stop the script I only notice the function "visit all" at the Tracables section does not work. Maybe one reason could be, that only geocaching.com script in my firefox browser is allowed, because I don't want quantserve or google to collect too much data and support them more. (Maybe this could be a premium member upgrade, for a better privacy...) Greetings from Germany Adler 12 Edited April 22, 2017 by Adler 12 Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
Not a new issue, unfortunately, but I have seen no news on how it's being addressed. Quote Link to comment
+ivss_xx
Meanwhile, the solution is to use this extension: http://geo.arisoft.fi/mcwb/index.html I've had no issues after putting that on. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
Meanwhile, the solution is to use this extension: http://geo.arisoft.fi/mcwb/index.html I've had no issues after putting that on. I am hesitant to download extensions or scripts written by people I don't know on my personal computer. As for my work computer, my IT policy prevents me from doing so, as apparently the NEC feels the same way about my work computer as I do about my laptop. So, while I appreciate your trying to be helpful, I'd rather the issue be fixed at origin rather than by a third party. Quote Link to comment

Well, being hesitant is the correct approach, of course. But rest assured, that extension is not evil If you want you can always download the file first and extract the contents and then check them with an editor for any suspicious stuff. Or we can always sit and wait for Groundspeak to take action. Already waiting for more than 6 months now Quote Link to comment

Sadly, it doesn't work. FF reports that it is corrupted. And we should continue to ping GC until the issue is resolved. The extension file is an ordinary zip file. Try to unzip it first. Then you can review the contents and rebuild your own version if you want to be absolutely sure. Anyway the extension is already rewiewed and signed by Mozilla. The GCHQ (Not the British one ) already knows the problem, but their experts did not find the solution for the problem - yet. Meanwhile our options are limited. Either suffer from the bug or use the temporary fix. ps. I found that the original download page for unofficial version http://geo.arisoft.fi/mcwb/index.html did not contain link to the the official version of the extension. This may explain the error you saw. The link is now fixed. Edited May 11, 2017 by arisoft Quote Link to comment
