show decoded mysteries on map

At the moment I solve mysteries and collect my answers in a text-document. When I go outside I always have to search out the koords which could be on the way I am going to go.

My idea:

It would be great if you could add own points on the GC-Map with koords e.g. from solved riddles or from the last point of a multi you weren't able to complete. So if you are about to organize your next geocaching-trip you could show those self-created points on the map and you can set your route the way you also can solve them, too.

You can edit the coordinates of solved puzzles or partially-completed multis, and then they'll show up at the edited coordinates sometimes. The last I checked, they still show up at the original coordinates on the main map though.

It is possible to see cache icons at corrected coords on a map. It depends on how you're getting to the map.

SEARCH:

Play -> Find a Geocache -> Enter city/area/etc -> Search -> Map These Results -- Cache icons appear at the 'corrected' coords, otherwise they appear at the original 'listed' coords. Unfortunately, there isn't an indication of which icons are using corrected coords or original coords.

BROWSE:

Play -> View Geocache Map -- Cache icons appear at the original 'listed' coords.

You can enter corrected coords for any cache. You can enter the solved coords for a mystery, or the 'next' stage of a multi. You can put any coords you want as the 'corrected' coords.

Also, if you have entered the corrected coordinates for a cache, then the cache icon will appear at the corrected location in the small map on the cache page. The map on the right side of the page, just above the log entries.

And unless something changed on the iPhone or Android apps, the coordinates for the puzzle you solved and updated won't display at the final coordinates either. The icon on the app map will display the original unsolved location.

So go to Waypoints (next to Activity) when the navigation to the cache is active. If the coords were updated, a corrected coords will appear on the list Pck this and start navigation with the compass.

As you have the main screen open and looking at map for the next cache on the trail or the nearby cache, which waypoint is the map displaying? Yes, that's right, the WRONG one. mad.gif

This alone was the reason I immediately abandoned the official app.

Thx for your helpful answers :)

I recently found the edit-function and am using it now rly often ;) The point about how to get the corrected coords shown on the overview-map was new to me - good to know.

The problem with the app DEMPtalked about, is also annoying me a lot. Furthermore I'd like to hide the caches I alrdy have found (in the app). Is there an option in c:geo or the official app?

Thx for your many replies.
