A lot of my growing-up years were in the Himalayas and now I'm in Oregon, hence my name. It's been a while since I did those long hikes in the Himalayas, but I've been wanting to start venturing again. I did a pretty good hike (for being out of shape) in the nearby McDonald forest today, here in Corvallis. I could just feel part of me come alive that I had almost forgotten about. Here's to good health and fun, and the drive we all have in us to explore. I have a Magellan Explorist GC, good enough for a beginner. I didn't look for a geocache today but I will be looking.
